Spray Tan Before & After: What to Expect (Day 1–Day 7)

If you’ve never had a spray tan before, you’re probably wondering what actually happens after your appointment.

Let’s walk through it.

Day 1: Your appointment

You’ll leave with a bronzed glow (this is the cosmetic bronzer). It may look a little darker than expected, that’s normal.

Day 2: Rinse + real color shows up

After your first rinse, your true color starts to develop. This is when you’ll start seeing your natural glow.

Days 3–5: Peak glow

This is the sweet spot. Your tan looks the most even, natural, and glowy.

Days 6–7 (up to 10 days): Soft fade

A good spray tan fades evenly—not patchy, not blotchy. Just gradually lighter.

The goal

You should never feel like you’re “wearing” a spray tan. It should just look like your skin… on its best day.
